Both the over-mold material and the seal are very chemical and corrosion resistant.Life expectancy should be 4 – 5 years.
General care should be taken to rinse salt water or chlorinated water off of the case with clean fresh water whenever possible to help extend that life.
What is the life expectancy of the seals on the iPod cases? How long are the seals likely to last in chlorinated water and/or salt water?
